Death Of Business Travel Has Been Greatly Exaggerated: Financial Times

Business travel has been rebounding quickly following the pandemic, Financial Times is reporting. Travel was virtually shut down globally during the pandemic as most long-distance events like meetings and conventions were forced to move online. There was some belief that this switch would become permanent, but the Financial Times says in a new report that it appears that business travel will recover and continue on its pre-pandemic trajectory.

It cites InterContinental Hotels Group reporting that in the U.S., corporate travel demand and revenue have already returned to pre-pandemic levels. Delta says more than 80 per cent of pre pandemic biz travel has already returned, despite increased travel costs. However, recovery has been slower in Europe, where IAG says 70 per cent of corporate travel has returned.
