According to Skift, travel forecast released by AAA points to overcrowding at airports and on roads for American Thanksgiving.
More than 55 million Americans will be traveling 50 miles or more from home - up 2.3% from last year and the third-highest forecast for Thanksgiving since AAA began tracking it in 2000. More than 4.7 million will be flying which is the highest number of air travellers since 2005.
“Even with inflationary prices all around for the cost of goods and services, It’s not deterring people from traveling,” said Paula Twidale, senior vice president of AAA.
