Disney Springs Set to Welcome New Cirque du Soleil Show

Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group and Disney have announced a new show, titled Drawn to Life, is set to debut on 18NOV at Walt Disney World Resort. The show was originally set to debut in MAR 2020 before the pandemic hit. “With its combination of Disney animation and awe-inspiring performances, Drawn to Life is a great addition to the Disney Springs entertainment lineup and perfect for all ages,” said Jeff Vahle, president of Walt Disney World Resort, in a press release statement. The show follows the story of Julie, a girl who discovers an unexpected gift left by her Disney animator father: an unfinished animation. As she dives into the inner world of animation guided by a surprising pencil, Julie embarks on an inspiring quest filled with her childhood Disney memories. The cast features 64 artists, and performs on Tuesdays through Saturdays at Disney Springs, with tickets going on sale on 20AUG. This is the 50th production created by Cirque du Soleil, which also ties into Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary.
