Construction for the world’s longest cable car system is underway in Dominica. As reported by Travel Weekly, the single cable system will take passengers 6.6 km from the Roseau Valley up to thermal springs of Boiling Lake, located in the country’s Morne Trois Pitons National Park. A 10-passenger gondola will make the trip in around 20 minutes, while a hike between the two destinations can take three hours one way. Dominica’s tourism minister expects the cable car to be completed in early 2024.
