Wildfires and scorching temperatures have wreaked havoc across Central Europe, reports TravelMole.
Tourists were forced to evacuate as fires spread through La Palma in the Canary Islands and Greece. In Greece, evacuation orders were issued for six coastal towns. Many holiday homes have been destroyed, and some tourists have been relocated to safer areas.
The firefighting efforts are being hampered by strong and unpredictable winds.
