Eurostar to Suspend Direct Amsterdam-London Trains for Six Months

Eurostar will suspend direct trains from Amsterdam to London for six months starting JUN 2024 due to the renovation of Amsterdam Central station, reports Business Travel News.

Passengers must transfer in Brussels for the London leg. Construction work at the station, closing its terminal in JUN 2024, hinders direct travel facilities.

Initially feared to disrupt Eurostar’s Amsterdam-London service for a year, the new terminal is set to open in JAN 2025. Eurostar aims to minimize inconvenience, running one-way London to Amsterdam services during the gap. Collaborative efforts by all parties, including Dutch rail operator NS International, failed to find a solution for continuous direct services.
