Expedia’s Summer Travel Forecast says searches by U.S. travellers are up 25 per cent for flights from JUN to AUG compared to the same time in 2022, and searches for trips to Europe and Asia are up more than 100 per cent.
The forecast found ticket prices drop from their peak in early JUL to AUG, by an average of USD $125. The top international destinations are Cancun, London, Rome, Punta Cana, and Paris. Searches to Osaka, Japan saw a nearly 600 per cent increase compared to 2022.
