Fiji Welcomes Back Tourists in Tightly Controlled Border Reopening

Fiji welcomed back international travellers for the first time in almost two years on 01DEC after closing its borders back in MAR 2020 at the start of the pandemic. With around 90 per cent of adult Fiji citizens now vaccinated, the country has reopened to a select number of countries, including Canada. Tourists arriving will have to stay for three nights in an approved resort and undergo rapid testing, where they can enter designated areas, including bars and restaurants within the hotels, while waiting for the results of their test.
