First International Cruise Ship Returns to Japan After Three Years

Japanese tourism officials have welcomed the first international cruise ship call in three years. German cruise ship MS Amadea docked at Shizuoka with 500 guests. Officials expect 1200 ship calls this year. That’s down by a third from 2019 levels. The return marks the country’s first step toward returning to over 2 million cruise passengers every year.
