A new European startup has ambitious plans to launch commercial hypersonic flights in the next decade, reports CNN.
The Destinus concept is a hydrogen-powered flight that travels at five times the speed of sound, cutting flight duration to less than a quarter of commercial air travel. The startup’s first two prototypes have made successful test flights. Its third prototype is set to make its inaugural flight by the end of the year.
