Soaring numbers of COVID-19 cases are threatening Germany’s famous Christmas markets, which may face a second year of closures despite being set to open very soon. On 10NOV, Germany registered a record number of COVID-19 cases for the third day in a row, with just under 40,000 new cases. Christmas markets were originally set to open with enhanced restrictions, such as proof of vaccination requirements, visitor number restrictions, and more.
