Hawaii officials announced that the state will allow U.S. mainland visitors to bypass quarantine requirements so long as they upload their vaccination status using a Smart Health Card via the CommonPass App. “CommonPass verification gives travelers assurance that their information is valid for travel to Hawaii and that they will not be put into quarantine,” said the state’s governor, David Ige. To be eligible, travellers must select the “CommonPass Exception” on the Hawaii Safe Travels portal. Passengers on select Hawaiian Airlines and United Airlines flights have been using the CommonPass technology since early APR, but this new program is not limited to specific airlines.
