Hurtigruten Americas president John Downey will leave the company effective 14MAY to take a position outside of the travel industry, the Norwegian cruise brand said. Hurtigruten said it will soon commence recruitment for a new president for its Americas brand. Downey has been with the company since MAR 2019. According to Hurtigruten, the company set new sales records and significantly increased the brand's presence in the North American market under his leadership.
