Hyatt Completes Acquisition of Apple Leisure Group and “One of Largest Collections of Luxury, All-Inclusive Resorts in the World”

Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced on 02NOV that it has completed its acquisition of Apple Leisure Group (ALG) from affiliates of KKR and KSL Capital Partners, LLC. Through the addition of ALG’s AMR Collection brand portfolio, Hyatt is doubling its global resorts footprint. As a result of the acquisition, Hyatt reportedly now has one of the largest collections of luxury all-inclusive resorts in the world. Through this acquisition, Hyatt has added properties in 11 new European markets and expanded its European brand footprint by 60 percent. It alsol adds new destinations for the company, such as Acapulco, Curaçao, the Canary Islands, Menorca and St. Martin.
