The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has called for shared accountability among all stakeholders in addressing passenger disruptions, IATA announced.
The association argues that the current system of singling out airlines for compensation is unsustainable. IATA urges governments to review and revise regulations to ensure equitable distribution of responsibility across the air transport system, including and not limited to airports, baggage handling sub-contractors, security operations, air controllers and air traffic.
