Icon of the Seas Officially Joins Royal Caribbean Ahead of January Debut

Royal Caribbean officially welcomed the Icon of the Seas during a celebratory event for the new class of ship at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland, reports Recommend.

Vicki Freed, Royal Caribbean's Sr. V.P. of Sales, expressed the significance of the moment, highlighting the ship's unique features, including the AquaDome and expansive water amenities.

‘The delivery of the new ship commemorated the series of never-before-seen feats accomplished during more than two years of construction: from the installation of the AquaDome, the single largest glass and steel structure to be lifted onto a cruise ship, to engineering more water on board than ever before across seven pools, six waterslides and more.’
