Airlines offering exclusively premium cabins are emerging as new competition for legacy airlines as leisure demand for seats in first class and business class grows, reports BNN Bloomberg.
Small carriers, such as Maldives-based BeOnd, Taiwan-based Starlux Airlines and BermudAir, are offering luxe onboard experiences including lie-flat seats and swapping seat screens for iPad Pros and wireless headsets, among others.
However the report notes that at least a half-dozen airlines have attempted to pull off an all-premium-class model in the past and failed.
