India, Bali and Vietnam Announce Opening Plans

India will begin granting tourist visas to foreign visitors for the first time in 18 months, with those arriving to the country on chartered flights allowed in as of 15OCT, with all other arrivals permitted entry from 15NOV. The Indonesian island of Bali will reopen its airport to international arrivals as of 14OCT from a select number of countries, but details on whether foreign tourists are permitted have yet to come. Vietnam plans to reopen key tourist destinations for fully vaccinated arrivals from “low risk” countries in DEC 2021, with a full reopening targeted for JUN 2022.
