The chairman of the Latin American Travel Association (LATA) is calling on the travel industry to make more of the positive impact it has, reports Travel Weekly.
Colin Stewart said the sector is “too humble” when explaining its economic importance and productive effects on communities, regions and countries, and that accusations of it negatively impacting destinations are largely unfair. Highlighting the vital economic contribution made by travel to certain countries, he urged LATA’s members to share information about the positive impact they have on the destinations they visit.
