Interest in Expedition and Themed Cruises Growing, Allianz Research Shows

According to a recent survey by Allianz Partners USA, expedition and themed cruises are gaining momentum in the travel industry, reports Seatrade Cruise News.

The study, conducted among 9,000 travel advisors, revealed that 75% consider cruise bookings crucial to their business, with a rising interest in themed voyages. Notably, 35% observed increased enthusiasm for cultural-themed cruises, emphasizing immersion and exploration.

The expedition cruise market is on the rise, with 81% of advisors favouring ocean cruises, followed by river cruises (16%) and expeditions (2%). Over 75% of advisors reported cruises as the primary driver of their business, highlighting the industry's substantial impact.
