Italy Forecasting ‘Double-Digit Growth’ in Visitor Numbers in 2023

According to Travel Weekly, Italy's tourist board anticipates a robust rebound in 2023, following a stellar post-pandemic recovery in 2022 that witnessed a near-doubling of overnight stays to 13 million.

Maria Elena Rossi, the marketing director, expresses confidence in achieving "double-digit growth" this year, surpassing even the pre-pandemic levels of 2019.

Rossi emphasizes the unique charm of smaller locations, urging travel agents to play a pivotal role in promoting sustainable, off-the-beaten-path experiences.
