Japan Airlines says it expects an operating loss of over $100M after one of its aircraft was destroyed in a collision with a Japan Coast Guard plane at HND. U.S. insurer AIG is believed to be the lead insurer on a USD$130M "all-risks" policy covering the aircraft. This marks the first time globally that the hull of an A350 model airbus was lost in an aviation disaster.
