The city of Los Angeles will soon require proof of COVID-19 vaccination in indoor venues such as bars, nightclubs, lounges, and more, with details to come soon. "This is a reasonable path forward that will position us to be better able to break the cycle of surges. This modified health officer order aligns with the continued need to reduce risk of transmission and increase vaccination coverage," said County Public Health Director Dr. Barbara Ferrer. Visitors to large outdoor events will also require either proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test. San Francisco also rolled out a vaccine passport mandate in AUG but plans for a state-wide program for California have been delayed.
