Marriott to Launch Hotel Brand for Budget-Minded Extended-Stay Guests

Marriott International is expanding into the ‘affordable midscale’ hotel category in North America with a new, yet-to-be-named brand, reports Skift

The move aims to attract guests seeking extended stays, typically between seven and 30 days. Discussions are currently underway with owners for over 250 development opportunities under this brand, with expected openings in late 2024 or early 2025.

Marriott's recent venture into extended stays comes as other competitors such as Hyatt, Wyndham, and Best Western, recognize the increasing popularity of blended travel.
