Nearly Half of Canadians Didn't Use all their Vacation Days in 2022: Survey

According to a new report from Expedia, nearly half of the Canadian respondents said they didn’t use all of their vacation days in 2022 and more than half said they feel deprived of vacation time.

The data comes from Expedia’s 2023 “Vacation Deprivation Report,” which consisted of an online survey that received responses from 14,527 respondents across 16 countries in North America, South America, Europe and Asia from 09FEB to 03MAR.

As reported by CTV News, 57 per cent of Canadians reported a lack of vacation time, two per cent higher than last year’s report. 45 per cent of Canadians said they didn’t use all their vacation days in 2022, and nearly three out of four Canadians reported that the stress of the economy made them feel like they needed a vacation even more.
