New $8 Fee Added to Carnival’s Cucina del Capitano for Second Visit

Carnival Cruise Line has introduced a USD $8 fee for diners wishing to dine a second time at Cucina del Capitano on the Carnival Celebration and Mardi Gras ships, reports CruiseRadio.net.

The change allows one free evening at the Italian venue, with an additional charge for subsequent visits. This marks the second venue within a year to adopt such a surcharge, following the popularity of Chibang on Excel ships.

The news received minimal pushback, as Carnival's Brand Ambassador, John Heald, clarified that Carnival Jubilee will offer complimentary dining at Cucina del Capitano and other venues. The fee aims to diversify dining options, reducing strain on the main dining room, especially on the large Excel class ships accommodating around 6,500 passengers.
