New DR Region, Cabo Rojo, Advances Construction of Hotels and Cruise Terminal

The Cabo Rojo Tourism Development project in the Dominican Republic's Pedernales province is progressing with the construction of three hotels and a cruise terminal, reports Dominican Today.

Hotel chains, including Iberostar, Hilton, and Marriott, have shown interest in the project, aiming to boost ecotourism and adventure tourism.

President Luis Abinader expects the first cruise passengers by 18DEC. The initial hotels should be ready by the end of 2024, with airport construction starting soon.
