As demand for travel continues to rise post-pandemic, the role of travel advisors is evolving thanks to emerging technologies and changing traveller expectations, reports Skift.
According to a recent study by Travel Daily News, travel advisors remain relevant, with over a third of affluent U.S. travellers preferring their services for international flights. Despite competition from online booking tools, advisors are merging human capabilities with technology to enhance their capabilities. A survey by Voyagu reveals that 69 per cent of U.S.-based travel advisors acknowledge the positive impact of technology, while 53 per cent see it as a potential revenue driver.
The report provides insights into how travel advisors have adapted, including sales and marketing strategies, tools used, and opportunities in the blended travel era, as well as highlights the ongoing demand for personalized service.
