As Japan re-opens following the pandemic, new and refurbished train lines are open for tourists, according to CNN.
The new 66-kilometre Nishi Kyushu bullet train line connecting Nagasaki to the surrounding area is open with five stations that previously only received conventional trains. A Joyful Train - tourist day-trip trains with attractions on board - is serving the Nishi Kyushu as well. Another new Joyful Train is available in the Nagami and Yamanashi prefectures. A new sightseeing train runs from Okoyama to the hot springs near Tsuyama. There are also additional cars on the Fuyu-no-Shitsugen steam train.
