NORAD: Omicron Won't Stop Santa Claus' Mission

Despite the emergence of the Omicron variant, Santa Claus is ready to spread joy this Christmas season. The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) headquarters in Colorado is preparing to track Santa’s every move starting on Christmas eve as he travels the world with his bag of toys. “I can tell you that Santa's been doing this for many, many, many years through pandemics and a variety of other illnesses — even the common cold,” Maj. Cameron Hillier said. “He’s been able to successfully deliver gifts each and every Christmas Eve and we see no reason for that to change this year.” Hillier also emphasized that the pandemic did not hinder Santa last year.
