Norwegian's Del Rio: Vax Mandate is working -- and I Have the Numbers to Prove It

In conversation with Travel Weekly at CruiseWorld, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) CEO Frank Del Rio says that its vaccination mandate for all cruise passengers is working, and he has the numbers to back it up. “The best consumer survey is facts, and the fact is we, and when I say we, I mean all three brands (Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises), are better booked for the second half of 2022 and throughout 2023 by a wide, wide margin and at much higher prices than at any time in 2019 or 2020 before the pandemic hit,” Del Rio said. According to Del Rio, the stats are “proof positive that having a 100% vaccination mandate for our vessels is a competitive advantage.”
