Princess Cruises Has Eliminated Last-Minute Discounts

Princess Cruises has changed its pricing strategy by eliminating last-minute discounts, reports Travel Weekly. The cruise line now emphasizes rewarding early bookers, signalling a "dramatic shift" in its approach.

Princess aims to provide guests with the best value by encouraging them to secure vacations well in advance due to increasing consumer demand. They introduced the best price guarantee, promising to match any lower price for the same cruise and stateroom category.

Cruise Planners CEO Michelle Fee praised this move, anticipating it will discourage last-minute price reductions and boost client confidence in early booking, emphasizing the importance of securing spots for 2024 and 2025 Princess cruises immediately.
