Royal Caribbean is looking to introduce a new way to alert passengers in their cabin if there is a drill they must participate in. Royal Caribbean Group recently filed a patent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for "Guest Quarters Coordination During Muster". The patent suggests that this new technology would alert passengers in their cabin that a muster event has started, and display the location of the muster on the guest’s television. It would also provide an additional way to alert guests when they need to complete their muster drill.
