According to Skift, Saudi Arabia's Cruise Saudi is refurbishing the last remaining ship of Dream Cruises, Manara, which it acquired for USD $300M at an auction last year to create a luxury Arabian cruise line, AROYA Cruises.
The 3,500-guest ship will be transformed by two of the cruise sector's top outfitters, MJM Marine and De Wave Group, with Cruise Saudi refurbishing 98% of the ship's guest-facing venues.
The new cruise line will showcase Arabian culture by "honouring Arabian culture through the brand values of inspiration, enrichment, generosity and respect," AROYA Cruises said. AROYA's main retail partner will be Germany-based Gebr. Heinemann.
