Signs of Pent-Up Business and Group Travel Demand for Second-Half 2021 Buoy Hilton

Citing conversations with Hilton Worldwide's large corporate customers coupled with recent upticks in business transient booking pace seem to indicate pent-up demand for business travel "that should drive a recovery in corporate transient trends as the year progresses," Hilton president and CEO Christopher Nassetta said Wednesday. Skipping 2020 comparisons, group business for the first half of 2021 is currently down 80 per cent compared with the first half of 2019. For the back half of the year, it's down 32 per cent.
