St Kitts Welcomes First Cruise Ship in 18 Months, Even as Put on CDC High Risk List

Despite being put on the CDC’s Level 4 “Very High” COVID-19 travel risk list on 13SEP, the Caribbean Island of St. Kitts welcomed back its first cruise ship after nearly 18 months. Celebrity Equinox arrived at Basseterre, St. Kitts on 14SEP after departing Port Everglades on 05SEP for a 13-night Caribbean itinerary. It is the first of several Royal Caribbean Group ships scheduled to call at this island this year. To dock, St. Kitts is requiring that 95 per cent of the crew and all cruise pax eligible for the vaccine be fully vaccinated with other testing requirements in place.
