The steel has been cut for Explora Journeys’ upcoming Explora II, and MSC Group Executive Chairman Pierfrancesco Vago, Explora Journeys CEO Michael Ungerer and Fincantieri GM Merchant Ships Division Luigi Matarazzo came together on 06OCT at Fincantieri’s Castellammare di Stabia for the occasion. At 64,000gt, Explora II will follow the same design as Explora I, with 461 ocean front suites and with provision for battery storage to allow future hybrid power generation.
