Strikes at HAM & BER Disrupt Travel 24APR

Travel in Germany has once again been disrupted by strikes on 24APR, according to Simple Flying. Workers at HAM and BER walked off the job early in the morning and are expected to stay on strike until midnight. All departures at BER have been cancelled, and six per cent of arrivals have been cancelled. Numerous HAM departures have also been cancelled.

As Open Jaw has previously reported, Germany has seen a wave of strikes in recent months, mainly centred on transportation. Reuters is reporting that Verdi, the union that has been leading the labour action, has also announced rail strikes in five states on 26APR.
