Survey: Hotel Guests Want Breakfast Back

Due to the pandemic, many hotel brands have removed or downsized their hotel breakfasts. However, a new J.D. Power North America Hotel Guest Satisfaction Index Study, released 14JUL 2021, reports that consumers want breakfasts back. According to the report, 36 per cent of hotels eliminated buffet-style serving between MAY 2020 and JUN 2021, and as a result, breakfast satisfaction dropped in all hotel segments. "It is clear that guests expect breakfast service to resume, especially in limited-service hotels that usually provide complimentary hot breakfast," said J.D. Power hospitality practice lead Andrea Stokes.
