Tennessee Giving Travellers USD $250 Flight Vouchers for Booking Hotels

Tennessee officials are offering 10,000 travellers a USD $250 flight voucher, eligible at four airports in the state, if they book certain hotel packages as part of a USD $2.5m “Tennessee on Me” promotion by the state’s Department of Tourist Development. Visitors must book a two-night hotel package with at least one night Sunday through Wednesday in either Nashville, Memphis, Chattanooga and Knoxville. The flight vouchers will be eligible at airports in those four cities through Delta, American Airlines, or Southwest Airlines. Tennessee Governor Bill Lee opted for this promotion instead of giveaways like other states to promote the COVID-19 vaccine. Is this an idea Canadian provinces might take up?
