The Bahamas, St. Maarten Among 6 Countries Added to CDC’s “Very High” COVID Travel Risk List

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has added 6 countries to its “Level 4: COVID-19 Very High,” notice list. The Level 4 notice states that people should avoid travelling to those locations, and anyone who must travel there is advised to be fully vaccinated. According to the list criteria, destinations listed as Level 4 have had more than 500 cases per 100,000 residents in the past 28 days. The full list of countries added is: Haiti, Kosovo, Lebanon, Morocco, St. Maarten and The Bahamas. Most cruise ship private islands are located in The Bahamas, and its inclusion on the updated list will have a big impact on cruise ship operations in the region.
