No ETIAS Authorization Fee to Enter Europe in 2024 After All: More Delays

The European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) implementation, meant to introduce a new travel authorization process and fee for entering Europe, has been postponed - again, reports Frommers.

The latest proposed date was mid-2024, but it's now been pushed to at least MAY 2025. This delay is due to the incomplete status of Europe's new automated Entry/Exit System (EES), designed to register non-EU visitors. The ETIAS fee of €7 ($10), which covers multiple visits to Europe over three years, remains on hold. The uncertainty surrounding the EES means the ETIAS debut might face further delays.
