Dreamstar Lines, a Newport Beach startup, is trying to bring back overnight trains between L.A. and San Francisco, service that ended half a century ago, according to the L.A. Times.
The company says it is planning to run “hotel trains” with comfortable accommodation for passengers that leave at 10 p.m. and arrive at 8 a.m. The company is waiting for state approval, but says it could have the trains operational by the summer of 2024.
