TICO Board Approves 45 Compensation Fund Claims Totalling $125,321

On 28SEP, TICO’s Board of Directors approved 45 claims totalling $125,321.39 to assist 97 consumers who did not receive the travel services for which they had paid. The regulator approved 32 claims for Albarkah Travel and Tours Inc., 2 claims for Fly Jamaica Airways, and 11 claims for Jet Airways. In addition, TICO denied 2 claims for Tucan Travel Inc., 3 separate claims for Albarkah Travel and Tours Inc., and 1 separate claim for Fly Jamaica Airways.
