TICO Closes World Travel Inc. Due to “Falsified Booking Documents"

TICO has issued an advisory that World Travel Inc on Dundas Street in Toronto is no longer permitted to operate in Ontario.

At a License Appeal Tribunal, it was determined that sole Director and Manager at the company, Jenny Ai, “would accept consumer funds to book airline tickets. However, the requested airline tickets were not booked, and the consumers were presented with falsified booking documents. World Travel Inc. failed to properly handle consumers funds held in trust, failed to comply with record-keeping obligations and did not cooperate with TICO inspectors.”

Consumers with airline tickets affected by the closure of the company are asked to contact the airline to confirm travel arrangements, including those who may still be in destination. Customers who do not have confirmed bookings, or do not receive a refund for cancelled travel services, may request a claim form from TICO.
