Tripadvisor Launches New AI Generated Hotel Overviews

Tripadvisor has introduced AI-generated summaries for hotel reviews to offer travellers concise insights about properties, reports PhocusWire.

Following the successful beta test of its AI-driven travel itinerary generator launched in JUL, these AI synopses aim to provide a swift overview of each hotel.

Sanjay Raman, Tripadvisor's Chief Product Officer, emphasized that this update enhances user trip planning. Presently, a select group of users in the US and Canada can access these AI-powered summaries, highlighting "popular themes and details" from past guest reviews.

Furthermore, Tripadvisor's "Trips" planning tool has been updated with AI-backed hotel recommendations, activity suggestions, and user-tailored recommendations. This AI adoption reflects a broader industry trend, with companies like MakeMyTrip and Skyscanner integrating similar technology.
