Trump Hotel in Hawaii Will Be Rebranded

The Trump International Hotel Waikiki is undergoing a significant transformation, shedding its Trump identity to become the Wakea Waikiki Beach under Hilton's LXR Hotels & Resorts, reports Travel Weekly.

This shift, marked by a buyout agreement between Irongate and Trump Hotels, follows the property's notable success since its 2009 opening. As LXR's inaugural Hawaii venture, Wakea Waikiki Beach will see a change in management and a comprehensive redesign starting in 2025.

The phased renovation aims to elevate various aspects, from lobbies to dining, signalling a new chapter for the hotel. Against the backdrop of the Trump Organization's legal challenges, this rebrand underscores a broader trend impacting the Trump Hotels franchise, which has reduced its portfolio since 2015.
