U.K. Greenlights International Cruises

The U.K.’s MP and Secretary of State for Transport, Grant Shapps confirmed that the region will restart international cruises once again. The cruise news accompanied this week’s announcement that the UK would permit travellers from certain countries, including EU and US travellers, to enter the UK without mandatory quarantine. P&O Cruises have said the line is “absolutely delighted” regarding the news, with international cruises set to start on 25SEP 2021 sailing to the Mediterranean and the Iona to Spain, Portugal and the Canary Islands. P&O Cruises has already been sailing U.K. coastal cruises aboard The Britannia. A number of other cruise lines have adjusted or readjusted their itineraries to include British ports of call this late summer and fall.
