Scott Kirby, United Airlines CEO, found himself in the hot seat for taking a private jet while the airline was cancelling numerous flights and inconveniencing thousands of pax last week, reports CTV News.
On 28JUN, Kirby flew from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey to Denver, Colorado, at his own expense.
In a statement, he apologized for his actions, acknowledging that they were insensitive to customers and team members who were plagued by flight delays, cancellations and lost luggage for several days, as Open Jaw reported.
