Viking Octantis First Ship in Over a Decade Visits Top of Lake Superior - Open Jaw Will Have First Hand Reporting

The first cruise ship in over a decade has made its way to Lake Superior, marking a significant milestone for the region's tourism industry, reports Seatrade Cruise News.

On 28MAY, more than 150 passengers and crew were shuttled to Battle Island aboard Viking Octantis. The cruise line will make a total of four more visits to the Lake Superior North Shore Inside Passage throughout JUN and JUL.

Open Jaw’s editor, Lynn Elmhirst, will sail on the Octantis in the coming days and provide a first hand perspective on the truly Canadian experience.
